Tim Allen

One of the most famous comedians and actors in the United States, Tim Allen, was born on June 13th, 1953, in Denver, Colorado. Allen grew up with many siblings, having at least five other children in the house at any one time. Allen had an early interest in theater and film, and participated in these activities while still in high school. Allen’s first public appearance was at open mic nights, at local bars and other establishments.
Allen gradually worked his way onto the television talk show and comedy circuit, appearing in late night segments. Allen’s big break occured with Home Improvement, and that is the role that most Americans recognize Allen from. Allen also notably starred in The Santa Clause while he was also still on Home Improvement, making him one of the highest grossing actors during the time in 1994. Viewers may have also recognized Allen as the voice behind Buzz Lightyear in the very popular Toy Story.
Allen has also had a role in a number of TV commercials and other promotional material. As for upcoming TV and movie roles, Allen is expected to have a role in Toy Story 3, and is also producing his own film entitled Crazy on the Outside.
