Eugene Fodor was born in Denver, Colorado, on March 5th 1950. Fodor has earned huge acclaim as a very successful concert violinist. Fodor has performed all over the world in his career, visiting all fifty states, every province of Canada, and almost every nation of Europe. A prodigy with the violin from the earliest years, Fodor attended the prestigious Julliard School of Music. Fodor studied under the well known violinists and musicians Ivan Galamian, Josef Gingold, and Jascha Heifetz.

Fodor first appeared in the world of music at the age of ten, impressing audiences with his performance of Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1. Fodor set out on a solo career while still a teenager, his reputation as a virtuoso building all the while. Worldwide recognition was given to Fodor when he won the Paganini Competition at the young age of 22. Just two years later, Fodor went on to win the Tchaikovsky musical competition in Moscow during the height of the Cold War.

Fodor has also won the European Soloist award, and continues to give performances all over the world today. Fodor has established a legacy as one of the world’s greatest violinists as a native of Colorado.
