Eugene Fodor
Eugene Fodor was born in Denver, Colorado, on March 5th 1950. Fodor has earned huge acclaim as a very successful concert violinist. Fodor has performed all over the world in his career, visiting all fifty states, every province of Canada, and almost every nation of Europe. A prodigy with the violin from the earliest years, Fodor attended the prestigious Julliard School of Music. Fodor studied under the well known violinists and musicians Ivan Galamian, Josef Gingold, and Jascha Heifetz.
Jack Dempsey
One of the most feared boxers of all time, Jack Dempsey was a legend during his time and his name continues to be revered to this day. Dempsey was known for his devastating punches, and quick footwork. Dempsey was born on June 24th, 1895, in the small Colorado twon of Manassa. Dempsey had a storied fighting career by the time he was 24, having participated in as many as 80 fights by then. Dempsey gained a reputation as a powerful boxer by viciously knocking out his opponents within seconds of the match beginning.
Malcolm Scott Carpenter

The second American astronaut to enter space, Malcolm Carpenter was born on May 1st, 1925. The young Carpenter grew up in Boulder, Colorado, and was raised by a friend of the family when his single mother contracted tuberculosis. Becoming involved with aircraft at an early age, Malcolm Carpenter entered the Navy V-5 training program straight out of high school in 1943. After World War II, Carpenter went to the University of Colorado to pursue a degree in aeronautical engineering, which he received in 1949.
Tim Allen
One of the most famous comedians and actors in the United States, Tim Allen, was born on June 13th, 1953, in Denver, Colorado. Allen grew up with many siblings, having at least five other children in the house at any one time. Allen had an early interest in theater and film, and participated in these activities while still in high school. Allen’s first public appearance was at open mic nights, at local bars and other establishments.
Willard F. Libby
A Nobel Prize winning chemist, Willard F. Libby was born on December 17th, 1908, in Grand Valley, Colorado. Libby attended the University of California in 1927, and later earned his PhD in 1933. Libby rose rapidly in the ranks of academia, becoming an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Berkeley within ten years. Libby was set to continue his rise through academia with a move to Princeton when World War II interrupted. Moving to Columbia University in 1941, Libby contributed actively to the Manhattan Project, working there until 1945.
